This fast growing, water loving tree can be found in the sandy soil along the edges of streams and ponds. The young trees have a rich, bronze coloured bark that turns to a striking white as they mature. You can make a delicious syrup out of birch sap similar to maple syrup.Â
Leaves are approximately 3 inches by 2.25 inches. Each handcrafted leaf will vary slightly from the photographs. For purchases and additional information please contact us at studio@verdantglass.ca.
